Some months I was asked if I had a specific image for use in a publication. It was for an organization with which I have worked closely, so of course I provided the image in good faith, making sure that when the publication went to print I would be credited.
Two months ago the publication arrived, and I was not credited. I was disappointed, but saw that no other photographs had credit either. Poor form perhaps, but at least consistent. Now, on closer look, I see that while not all of the other photographs in the publication are credited all of the pictures taken by other “professional” photographers are credited in the back.
The organization has recently asked me for more of my pictures, and I am left with the conundrum of whether to push back on my lack of credit, or yield to the potential for further exposure.
