Tonight’s humorous interlude is actually a couple of weeks old and brought to us by our good friends at Ship the Web. In mid October I bought my 2008 calendar, a “large size” weekly planner. When i received my much anticipated mail, I found the package larger than I expected, and lo and behold, there was a “Special Gift” wrapped so carefully within the padded envelope. What, oh what have they deemed to gift to me, in appreciation for my having bought my yearly planner from them two years in a row? A pocket sized weekly 2007 calendar! Something for which I paid $12 last year!
I don’t know why I find this all so amusing, aside from the fact that I was sent a basically useless thing to take up space in my life. Yet knowing me I will cart it around, shrink wrapped and still bearing it’s bright red informational sleeve. “just in case”
I’m getting better at not keeping the stuff I don’t need, but somehow I think I’ve still got some work to do.
